Pastor Tim H. Carver was born in Carter County, Tennessee, to Frank and Evelyn Carver. He has a twin brother, Terry, and a younger brother, Benny. He came into the Apostolic Faith at the age of eight when his parents saw a newspaper article announcing a tent revival in Johnson City, Tennessee, in which a very young set of twins, Revs. Bobby and Billy McCool, were preaching. The Carvers attended the revival, and God touched their hearts. They attended Apostolic Christian Church in Johnson City (pastored by Rev. Bobby McCool and later Rev. Edward Davis) for many years. Bro. Carver was baptized in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ and received the baptism of the Holy Ghost at the age of fifteen. At a local church service one night, he met Sherrie Benton of Kingsport, Tennessee. Sis. Sherrie was raised in the Apostolic Faith. She is the daughter of Rev. Thomas Ray Benton (Pastor of First Apostolic Christian Church in Kingsport) & Betty Benton. Also, she is the grand-daughter of Rev. Thomas Raleigh Benton (founder & former Pastor of the same church).
Bro. Tim and Sis. Sherrie were married on June 27, 1975, and have three children: Andrea, Melinda , and Justin, all of which are filled with the Holy Ghost and are very talented and a big help in the ministry.
Bro. Carver has always had a close walk with the Lord and felt the call into the ministry at an early age. He began preaching in 1984 at many different churches. In 1993, Bro Carver felt the call of God to begin a work in Erwin, TN. After the Lord directed Bro.& Sis. Carver to a beautiful church building in Erwin, and with help from brothers and sisters who wanted to share in their burden for God, Harvestime Apostolic Church came into being in October, 1993.
The church is located at 721 Broyles Street, Erwin, Tennessee.
Bro. Carver is a member of the Assemblies Of the Lord Jesus Christ (ALJC).
