We at Harvestime believe that the Bible is the
inspired and infallible word of God written by holy men of God as they were moved on by the Holy Ghost. "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness" (2 Timothy 3:16). It is not man's thinking about God, but God's voice revealing his righteousness, redemption, and reconciliation for mankind preserved for us in the pages of the Bible. The Bible is infallible and without error, for it is the Word of God, and it refuses to succumb to the twisted logic and perverted hearts of carnal men. It carries a strong rebuke to any that would add to or take away from it.
We believe that the Bible is the divine Word of God and is our Roadmap to understanding how He wants us to live.
We believe the way to be saved is given clearly in the scriptures. On the day of Pentecost, Peter preached the Gospel revealing the Plan of Salvation: "Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." (Acts 2:38) That was true then and is still true today for in Acts 2:39 we read: "For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call."
The gospels declare the news of the incarnation.
They reveal that Jesus Christ was not merely a prophet, a great king, or a great religious teacher, but HE WAS GOD HIMSELF, ROBED IN HUMANITY. The one true God, the Jehovah of the Old Testament, took
upon Himself the form of man, and was born of the virgin Mary. As the scripture says, "And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory." (1 Timothy 3:16)
For in him (Jesus) dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily." (Colossians 2:9) " For it pleased the Father that in him should all fullness dwell"
(Colossians 1:19)
